FROM FARM TO CUP

THE KCCE JOURNEY

1

Ethical Sourcing at Origin

Coffee is grown by smallholder farmers. KCCE works through organized cooperative societies and wet mills that support farmers directly in sustainable farming & cherry processing. .

By directly working with  cooperatives and wet mills, KCCE ensures that coffee entering the value chain has been sourced ethically, its traceable to origin and adheres to global sustainability measures.

Curated for export

Once delivered to the wet mill, coffee is meticulously hand-sorted pulped , fermented, washed, and dried. Other processes such as natural, anaerobic natural, honey, double and extra long fermentation processes are also prepared for the niche markets. At KCCE coffee is warehoused, sampled and offered to international buyers for direct export through in-house cupping sessions or couriered samples.
Direct-export contracted coffees are gravity separated, colour sorted and handpicked to buyer requirements and international standards. Clear traceability & quality assurance standards are adhered to.
